Patch it....

I am always on the look out for alternative self help aids and I have found one I have tried and tested and it really works , well it does for.

This is a patch you put on the base of your feet when you go to bed. I found with a little help of a friend a cheaper version than the shops on ebay. It really does help with fatigue.

The science bit lol..

Use the Detox Foot Patches (Sap Sheets) to Detox your body. A Sap Sheet, or more commonly known as foot pads or detox pads, is made from totally natural tree and bamboo extracts. It is the culmination of centuries of knowledge known to the Japanese, and has been passed down through the generations. It is reputed to relieve fatigue, joint pain, headaches, skin rashes and many other health problems. Apply our Sap Sheets on the bottom of both feet, before bed, and experience better sleep and wake feeling totally refreshed the following morning. They work by drawing impurities from every part of your body and eliminating them through your feet. They work just like the osmosis pressure in a plant. Tree roots transport water to other branches utilizing its semi-permeable membrane. The heat from the Sap Sheet helps absorb perspiration from the bottom of our foot. The bottom of the foot is the location where most of the nerves in our body end. Therefore, the Sap Sheet is best used on the sole of the foot to clean out waste and toxic materials that are expelled in the form of sweat. Our Sap Sheet directly affects the reflex points on the feet. By placing the Sap Sheet on the reflex points, it promotes equilibrium and greater healing in our body.

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS AND HOW DO THEY WORK?

Ubame Oak from Kyushu Island, Japan. The only oak that yields our first grade vinegars.
Wood VinegarSource: Ubame Oak (Quercus Phillyraeoides)Ubame Oak, Quercus phillyraeoides, is placed in the furnace and heated up to 250 degrees Celsius. The smoke is then condensed into the vinegar. The next step is to filter the vinegar at least 5 times, to obtain maximum purity. It is then stored for 6 months to mature. The middle layer of the vinegar is then filtered off and used in the finished product. To obtain the powder, the vinegar is then again heated, condensed, and then dried with a special drying machine before our quality inspection is performed. This process yields a very high concentrate extract with an extremely high level of purity.Wood vinegar is known to be able to improve our blood circulation. This improved circulation can lead to relief from fatigue, headache, double vision, blood pressure, arthritis, and many other similar symptoms.

Pseudosasa Japonica, native arrow bamboo from Shikoku Island, Japan.
Bamboo VinegarSource: Arrow Bamboo (Pseudosasa Japonica)Arrow bamboo, Pseudosasa Japonica, is placed into the furnace and is heated up to 250 degrees Celsius. The smoke is then condensed into the vinegar. The next step is to filter the vinegar at least 5 times, to obtain purity. As with the wood vinegar it is then stored for 6 months to reach maturity. The middle layer of this vinegar is again used in the finished product. To obtain the powder, the vinegar is then again heated, condensed, and then dried with a special drying machine before our quality inspection is performed. This process yields a very high concentrate extract with an extremely high level of purity.Bamboo vinegar is said to have double the effect of the wood vinegar. This is due to its rarity. Bamboo vinegar costs almost twice as much as wood vinegar to manufacture.

Selected high quality crab shell from Shimizu, Shizuoka in Japan.
ChitosanSource: Shell of a crabChitosan is the result of the biomass research; it is extracted from the shell of a 'crab shrimp' and added to the Sap Sheet. Chitosan products have been used now for over 30 years by water companies to trap toxins, grease, heavy metals, and oils. It is the second most plentiful fibre, after cellulose. Chitosan products are also used extensively by the medical profession due to their remarkable ability to promote wound healing to injuries such as burns and skin inflammation.Extensive studies have also been carried out to determine its fat binding properties. The results found it to lower LDL, bad cholesterol by 6%, and enhance the HDL, good cholesterol by 10%. It has also been successfully marketed as a weight loss supplement.

Dokudami leaves from the herbal garden in Kanaya, Shizuoka.
DokudamiSource: Houttuynia cordataThis plant is native to Japan, Java and Nepal, and is found at altitudes of over 6200 feet. It has been proved to contain a variety of flavoids, flavonoid glycosides (afzerin, quercitrin, isoquercitrin) and pyridine alkaloids. Its essential oil was found to consist mainly of decanal (capry aldehyd), dodecanal (lauryl aldehyd) and 2-hendecanon (methyl nonyl ketone). It has been recognized for generations for its strong absorption properties.

Eriobotrya Japonica, selected from a local plantation in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka.
Loquat LeafSource: Loquat leaf (Eriobotrya Japonica)There is over 3000 years of history behind 'muxibustion therapies' and this leaf has been used extensively in Buddhist medicine for centuries. In India, it is widely used to treat many conditions, resulting in it being crowned the king of all herbal medicines. The Loquat leaf contains malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, tannate, carotene, vitamins A, B and C. Its leaves and kernel contain amygdalin, otherwise known as vitamin B17, or laetrile. It is known because of its ability to promote the secretion of body fluids and it also has antitussive, expectorant, antiemetic properties.

Fresh oranges from orange & grapefruit plantation in Mikkabi, here in Shizuoka.
Vitamin CSource: OrangeIt has long been known that human beings do not produce ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Therefore, we need to have a regular intake of this vitamin to maintain optimum health.
Below is the action of Vitamin C:
Increases HDL (high density lipoprotein) production. (HDL is able to help absorb fat located in plaque. In the process it changes from a disc shape to a globular form of HDL, and takes this fat to the liver to be burned.)
Decreases the production of lipoprotein (a). Our liver knows that when there is plenty of ascorbate on board, there is no need for high levels of lipoprotein (a) which is, after all, a repair factor for the cracks in blood vessel walls which come up in the absence of sufficient ascorbate.)
Down-regulates cholesterol and triglyceride production in the liver.
Lowers blood sugar and insulin requirements.
By relaxing the blood vessel walls, lowers blood pressure when hypertension is present.
Inhibits inappropriate intravascular clot formation (the final and sometimes deadly event in cases of heart attacks and strokes).

Corn fiber from domestic corn.
Vegetable FiberSource: Corn (corn fiber)Vegetable fibre is used to prolong the lifetime of the sap sheet. Its fibre prevents ingredients from hardening due to factors such as humidity.

Our Tourmaline is sourced from Hokkaido Island, Japan.
TourmalineSource: Tourmaline (semi precious) stoneTourmaline is a very popular gemstone and collectors mineral. It exists in all colours, and the multicoloured stones are unsurpassed in splendour. Tourmaline is both pyroelectric and piezoelectric. If a specimen is put under pressure, or a temperature change, it will generate an electrical charge.Tourmaline comes from the Sinhalese word Turamali, which was given to mixtures of unidentified gem gravels in Ceylon, now known Sri Lanka. Tourmaline exerts a cleansing and liberating energy upon our entire nervous system, promoting a clearing and stabilizing effect. Tourmaline is best known as one of the only minerals to emit far infrared heat and negative ions.

Domestic corn and corn flour before undergoing further processing.
DextrinSource: Corn flourDextrin is a product of starch hydrolysis, a carbohydrate having the same general molecular structure as starch but with a smaller and less complex molecule with adhesive properties. Its presence is necessary in our Sap Sheets as a filler, and also to bind other ingredients together. Beware of claims for Sap Sheet made without dextrin, as this is misleading. Without dextrin, Sap Sheets will not work, like a car running without tyres. However, keeping the amount of dextrin low in the Sap Sheet is the best way to achieve optimum results. Sap sheets with high amounts of dextrin, and with low amounts of vinegar, gives less benefit and poor results, although the smell of the vinegar is less pungent.

Now I am not claiming this is a miracle cure but it has hit headlines for some ms sufferers. Have a read, interesting if anything else.

The Free Gift of Life

The Free gift of life is a small book containing 8 interactive bible studies for small groups and individuals. We have just started this book a few weeks ago at the ladies bible study I have just started to go to.
An interactive Bible study is a bit like a guided tour of a famous city. The studies will take us through Romans 1-5, pointing out things along the way, filling in background details and suggesting avenues for further explorations (as quoted by the author Gordon Cheng)

These are my notes of the study so far. They are notes so please excuse the briefness of some sentences. Maybe they might be of help to somone out there so I thought I would share.

The first study is called The Gospel according to Paul. Romans 1 :1-17
This was quite a large chunk to cover and was split over two weeks.

We were asked to investigate

1) what was accupying pauls mind
1-17
Paul was itching to bring the gospel to the Romans
v2-6 Intordution and authenticating himself
v7-8 Thankful for their testimony
v9 Thanking always in prayer.Paul serving God with his whole heart.
v10 Longs to see them
v12 Mutually encouraging one another
v13 Preparation. Hugely encouraged by them .How the Gospel is handled.
v15 Reaching out to ALL types of people
v16-17 Concerned about the gospel of Christ , to preach Christ crucified.Wanting to reach both Jew and gentile.

Romans 9 1-6
Pauls Love. Massive distress for the people.List of Old testament traditions all been superceeded by Jesus.
Willingness of self sacrifice (v3), he wishes he was cursed and them saved. (what love!)
v4 Most priveledged people on the face of the earth(chosen by God to be Gods people)
v5 Redemptive history (David Solemon etc)
v6 Not all saved. Gentiles are not second class citizens. (Many Jews viewed them as this.)

Romans 15:14-33
Concerned about spreading the Gospel to places that have not already heard of Jesus.
Holds Christians he is writing too in high esteem.

2) what do we learn about Paul himself from the following verses?

Romans 1:1
A servant of Christ Jesus called to be an apostle by God.
No longer his life but the Lords life.
Emersary of Jesus
He is called and set apart by GOD.
Does totally what the Master desires.

Romans 15 14-33
v16 God given role.
v15 Full of grace
Cocerened for His people..All credit to God.
Always putting himself last in all he does.
Conscious on how the Gospel is handled.
v32 Gods will out pouring.
Slavery to the right Master is a very good thing and what a Master he had! Priviledge to serve.
Joy in service

3) in verses 1-4 , Paul moves straight from the greeting to the heart of the gospel.

Who is the gospel about ?
Lord Jesus crucified and his resurrection

What do you larn about the person whom the gospel is about?
Descendent of David in the flesh.
Son of God- ressurection
Human nature and divine nature.

4)According to Romans 1:5

What is the right response to the gospel.
Grace alone. Obedience of faith and submission.
We recieve grace freely.Belong to God. To trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and not put faith in works.
Who is the gospel for ?
Everyone :Jew and gentile , greek barbarian wise and foolish.
First the Jew and Gentile.

5) Read verses 8-17.Why does Paul want to visit Rome? What specific to him as an apostle, and what can we copy from this example.
To thank God for his saints. Wanting fellowship. To pray more often.
Fellowship- spiritual gift to strengthen you.
Encouragemenet by each other faith. , to know brothers and sisters in Christ, encourage and enpower. Graeful for one another, faith and obedience.

We stopped here on first session and I felt so comfortable and confident with the small group of ladies and got totally involved in the discussion.

6)Look carefully at how the repeated worg 'for' links together the idea's in verses 15, 16 and 17.
Why was paul eager to preach in Rome?
Reap some harvest among them.Rome is peak of civilisation of the World. Casade effect. Paul is not ashamed to preach the word.It will be as effective here than anywhere else.
Why is he not ashamed of the gospel?
For it is the power of God for Salavation. We all should be eager...
Why is the gospe the power of God for Salavation?
Because it is a life changing message , in it God's righteousness is revealed.
The word righteousness is a major theme of book appears over 30 times in one form or another.Righteousness is the state or condition of perfectly conforming to Gods perfect law and Holy charater.

The next session mainly covered that many Jews thought human works made them right with God, how Paul preached the word and how we can learn about the nature of the Gospel and how we should respong to it.
In your own life?
Your small group?
Your church?
Reasons why you should be involved spreading the Gospel to others.

Then finally . According to the Romans 1 1;17
how are we saved ? How should this view of salvation affect:
Our view on ourselves>
We should be thankful and prayerful
We are sinners and cannot be right with God without the Lord Jesus Christ paying the price of sin and making us right in Gods eyes.(not of human works)
Putting God first in out lives.
our view on other?
All are equal and need the saving grace of the Gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Take away our pride. Not better than anyone else. Salvation used 5 times in Romans a key word.

This to many look like a mass of words that at times make no sense, these are my notes from the meeting and I came back from meetings full of life eagerness and Joy.

Last Week.

On friday when I was injecting myself with my MS drug it was more tender than usual by the next day I had a bruise the size of knuckle..Must of hit a blood vessel.. Ouchie..
During the afternoon I decided to make fresh fruit kebabs for a healthy treat. And some healthy options for tea, quorn kebabs with cherry tomatoes , healthy carrot cake , hard boiled eggs etc
Friday at 4.00 pm my parents came over for a pre birthday get together , my son was like a coiled spring.Happy birthday was sang and cake offered but we had fruit kebabs instead , how healthy of me for a change but the birthday cake looks sooo nice , must resist must resist....
For tea I handed FB his plate with kekabs pasta etc he looked at me and said how am I supposed to eat that , errr use your mouth ?? lol

On Saturday my son was nine , incredible how quickly the years can flyby. Had a pizza hut birthday with a few of his close friends (there goes my diet again!) , they were all really well behaved and happy birthday was sang beautifully lol!! He got throughly spoilt again all his money is going to be saved for the summer holiday fund.

Sunday was yet another blessed day for me , I got so much out of the ministry , God really does look after me I am so thankful. We are finding our feet slowly after sadly leaving the Church I was married and baptised in for personal reasons . We are taking our time to find our new church home and asking many questions to make sure it is right for us and most importantly that we want to settle in a church as quickly as possible mainly for my sons sake.

Today is tuesday weigh in day , errrrr 5 out of 7 days on plan so my fault entirely if I dont lose weight. Also my son is joining a childrens weekday group tonight so watch this space on how it goes.
As you might of noticed I have not mentioned weigh in lately thats because I had a huge blip over easter and still trying to get focused , I start week well then I get to saturday and something always goes wrong..Mainly wrong foods tempt me and I seem not able to resist..Well It has to stop so this week 100%, it now written down I have nowhere to hide If I dont.

I have muttered enough..

Simplicity

I am far from being a great debator, far from being a scholar , I do not read enough (but I do have medical reasons for lack of concentration- ok an excuse..), I am moderately educated, so in life in general things I see and do things simply.

Putting my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ was simple for me .
I had my eyes opened and the word became clear. I know what I believe and what I do not in very basic terms. I see things in black and white , some may say it as a child may see things. Are we not as believers children of a Our Almighty God and being so should remember being saved is simple , living a Christian life is more difficult in these wordly times but keeping things simple uncomplicates things.
Keeping the gospel simple to new Christian's and non believers is the best tool we have .
I have sat in some sermons that were so complicated I left feeling confused and trying to figure out the message that was suppossed to been proclaimed.
Do not get me wrong we all need to learn and we are all at different levels but is there not a place for more in depth study maybe a bible study even etc.

I am not saying people with knowledge should not stand up against things, but I do feel with some it is a waste of energy debating something to somone who's mind is closed and will never listen , should we not direct our energies in other matters.

We all to often see wordly men getting pleasure in over complicating things making themselves look superior and getting pleasure in belittleing others.

For me I keep things simple.
